Planning !

For my research about cold war, I am planning on using internet web pages. The library is closed therefor i won't have access to books so my main resources will come from internet. The sites i am using are good ones because they have solid and valid information that no one can just access and change.

Doing a regular Google search will give me broad information whereas using "advanced search" will give me the precise websites to find my information. The advanced search will narrow down my website options just for what i've asked. Books and online encyclopedia's are more fiable than internet websites. This is so because the information is always true and accurate information. Internet websites might sometimes be false information and changed a lot of times.

To conclude, Advanced search and books and online encyclopedia's are the best for accurate and fiable research.

Soldier's Letter

Dear Mom & Dad,

It has been a while since I haven't written to you. We've been moving from one place to another without any time to relax and write. Winter finally arrived yet theres not much difference.

Our whole life here is basically inside the trenches. Its literally hell in Earth. They get all muddy and causes you to have fungus in your feet. This then leads to maybe an amputation which is the worst thing that can happen since you need both feet to fight ! Oh and furthermore, there are tons of rats that would just walk on top of you while sleeping. They would also bite pieces from dead corpse that were left unburried.

We've suffered pretty much from everything: bullet wounds, shortage of food and shelter comfort. Not only have we suffered from physical pain but also mental pain.

I've made many friends, but they don't last long. Each time we expose ourselves, one by one I see them die. Each day becomes slower then the last. My family and friends are the reason I'm still alive. I keep in mind that one day or another i'll see your faces again and this makes me want to fight and finally end it. I miss you so much it hurts !

Identifying and Analyzing Alternatives

Why problem ?

A very common problem in a 'typical' teenagers life would be that parents don't give them enough freedom. Children demand a great amount of liberty but their parents won't allow it. They're excuse would often be that their parents never let them go out, so they follow their parents rules. These young teenagers just want to go out and have fun with their friends, but the parents however don't understand that. An alternative to this problem might be to have limits with compromises. Children may go out and have fun with their friends, but they should also come back early. This way, both parents and children will be happy.

Globalization .. What in the world is it ?!

DEFINITION: Globalization is the coming together for a worldwide environment(celestew84). No more boundaries are made.

Pros & Cons

Globalization has negative affects as well as positive ones. When talking positively, globalization helps in different aspects. By international trade, industrial products and manufactured goods increase rapidly. Also, corporation have a greater capacity to interact and work across borders. There is a more active and rapid speed to transport goods from one place to another. With globalization, there is likely a minimal percent of chance to start a war between two developed nations. Culture emerges between the nations and one can learn from the other. More jobs will be offered to unemployed people and this will increase the economy. This globalization has good points, yet it still has its negative points. Such as diseases and infections could propagate quickly within nations. An important con is that most people are starting to lose their cultures. By having interactions with other nations and learning about their cultures, some people forget about theirs. Another con is that some people are losing jobs and companies are decreasing because of the high profits. To finalize, globalization is in both ways good and bad.

We will start our company in Morocco. Then we will export them throughout the Mediterranean Sea. We will export our products to Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Paris, Leon, Rome and Lisbon. Since Paris is the capital of fashion and Milan the capital of shoes, we are hoping to have as how in fashion week in LA to futher expand our shoes in New York City and Beverly Hills. Also, we are looking forward to design a clothing line after our shoe success.

Our cloth will come from a high quality factory in Thailand because it’s cheap. The velcrum will come from China. We will assemble the shoes in Morocco, sold in morocco, then exported to international franchises.

We manufacture and put together all our products in Morocco, Casablanca. Before doing so our products are imported from Thailand and China.

First, my associate and I are qualified designers with a master degree in fashion. We will design these shoes and send the sketches to our company in Morocco. Our 500 workers are paid 20 DHs the hour and we cover most of their insurance. We also provide transport. Most of Moroccan laborers do not have insurance or transport so our payment plan satisfies the laborers. By working eight hours per day, they will earn 190 DHs per day. It is fair for them. We have contracts with each laborer. These contracts satisfy our needs as they satisfy’s their

We will need their authorization to create our company and import our cloths, and make it public within the stocks. Additionally, when our StyleXchange revolutionary 3 in 1 shoes will be successful and people will ask more, we will export our final products further in the Mediterranean regions.

· P Profits

In certain regions around the Mediterranean Sea, the weather isn’t stable. It can change rapidly throughout the day. It has become an unpleasant task to the residents of those regions who always have to change shoes more than twice per day. A lot of them are complaining so our StyleXchange Company is going to make their lives easier by making 3 in 1 shoes. We are going to make our profit from those people willing to buy them and from the local brand and international franchises that are eager to invest in our shoes. We will distribute our shoes to them. When our shoes are successful, we will export them and have brands installed all over the Mediterranean. Our shoes will cost 170 $. This pair of shoes is equivalent to three pairs of shoes but its prince is equivalent to two pairs. We will also invest in the stocks, to have more profit.

Now that we are millionaires ...

Now that I'm a millionaire and that i've acquired all the money I need, I can start helping others. First I would create a small enterprise for the unwealthy people. I would import and export the same shoes as in my StyleXchange company but with different quality and price. It would be the same concept but diferrent texture and price. In this enterprise, I will have shops in different regions where any unwealthy people could go and buy cheap but practical pair of shoes. By doing so, I will help the inhabitants who doesn't own much to buy much.

Morocco's development

Morocco has greatly developed during these years.

In transportation; Tramways and TGV's are to be added in these next years

Tourism; With the recent Mazagan Beach resort, Morocco attracted more people and moroever more celebrities coming to promot these hotels. Such as the residence in Marrakech with the Desperate Houswives and in the Mazagan Beach with Lindsay Lohan.

Socratic Seminar

To be honest, that day of Socratic Seminar wasn't our classes best one. Good points were made but with the noise behaviour in class I couldn't really focus although i've found one point interesting and that I see in the present life. Money is not very hard to get however to earn it it is. People choose the easiest way which is either selling drugs or stealing. A person came up with a good example of getting money without earning it and that is by tipping a policeman when he catches you making a mistake. These policeman earn half of their money by actually working and the other half is by getting paid by others to let them go.

Not a lot of people participated but the majority of the class did participate sometime and then talked and then participated again. It was an ongoing on and off of focusing on the work that was supposed to be done.
